CU Â鶹ӰԺ Continuing Education Sponsors 2019 CWA Livestream
Throughout its history the  has utilized innovative technologies to extend educational opportunities to students beyond the CU Â鶹ӰԺ campus. For a second year in a row, those efforts include providing the resources needed to livestream sessions of the Conference on World Affairs (CWA) to a worldwide audience.Â
Last year's CWA livestream service reached over 50 countries and served as the educational component of watch parties on the CU Denver campus and at other local schools in the Â鶹ӰԺ/Denver region.
This year's CWA week (April 9-13) will livestream 63 of the nearly 200 sessions open to the public, without charge via the CWA Livestream page that will later be made available online via the CWA YouTube archive page.Â
The Division of Continuing Education will cover the significant production and staffing costs of livestreaming the CWA this year to audiences in Â鶹ӰԺ and beyond. Livestreaming services are provided by  in conjunction with the CU Â鶹ӰԺ College of Media, Communication and Information.
"Continuing Education's sponsorship of livestream capabilities at the Conference on World Affairs fits beautifully with our mission of making CU Â鶹ӰԺ’s faculty, courses, programs, and research available to a larger audience," said Ted Rockwell, Director of Marketing and Communications, Division of Continuing Education.
Continuing Education has pioneered new technologies in service to education for over 100 years.They offer online and evening classes, noncredit programming, degree and certificate programs, K-12 science education outreach, and intensive English programs.
