I am originally from Pennsylvania and have been living in Colorado since 1964. I think of myself as a "fallen" scientist but would probably best be termed an artist/writer because I now do editorial cartoons for many newspapers west of the Mississippi. I also write articles on the West, create mystery novel covers (60+), illustrate newsletters, and even design T-shirts. I volunteer with the Forest Service as a member of the Indian Peaks/James Peak Wilderness Alliance and am a crew leader with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (250+projects) doing wetland restoration, wild fire revegetation, erosion control, and eradication of noxious weeds.ÌýI am certified as a Native Plant Master for Front Range Flora with the .
