Ishani Shrestha (Mgmt鈥18) graduated from CU鈥檚 Leeds School of Business in December. Ishani was crowned Miss Nepal 2013 in Bali, Indonesia, where she won the prestigious Beauty with a Purpose title for her work to educate rural communities in Nepal about the importance of oral hygiene.听

Nick Mott (MJour) is a reporter at Montana Public Radio and a producer for the podcast Threshold, which is focused on tackling environmental issues. The podcast was founded by Amy Martin, a former CU Center for Environmental Journalism Scripps Fellow. Nick鈥檚 reporting has been featured in The Washington Post and on NPR鈥檚 Morning Edition. Threshold鈥檚 second season, 鈥淐old Comfort,鈥 won a regional 2019 Edward R. Murrow Award in the News Series category.

The book Activist Media: Documenting Movements and Networked Solidarity by Gino Canella (PhDComm鈥18), published in May, details Gino鈥檚 documentary filmmaking with activist groups Black Lives Matter 5280 and Denver鈥檚 Service Employees International Union Local 105. Gino is an assistant professor of journalism and media studies at Boston鈥檚 Emerson College.

She joined Colorado鈥檚 Regional Air Quality Council, the lead agency for improving air quality in the Denver metro area, as its communications and programs coordinator. She lives in Broomfield, Colorado.

Alejandro Brown (IntlAf鈥18) is the founder of I-70 Things, a page on Instagram (@i70things) with more than 400,000 followers. Some of the account content serves as entertainment and some content is safety-oriented for those traveling the I-70 corridor through the Colorado mountains. 鈥淚 wanted to be able to provide an outlet for people to not only share what they鈥檝e seen but also check it out before they go to the mountains or before they come home,鈥 Alejandro told The Denver Post in January.
