The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation has named聽Amy Eisenhuth Brimah聽(PolSci鈥�94, Law鈥�00) to serve as a trustee. In this function, she will help the Denver Public Library through advocacy, fundraising and enhancing the library鈥檚 activities. Amy lives in Denver.

鈥淭he Boettcher Foundation tremendously helped me and my family when it awarded me the Boettcher Scholarship and paid for my college education,鈥� says聽Kenzo Kawanabe聽(PolSci鈥�94) of Denver. In February the foundation, which works to assist, encourage and promote a better quality of life for Coloradans, named Kenzo to its board of trustees.

Will Newcomer聽(Mktg) owns a sports marketing company and organizes adventure, mountain bike and running races throughout the Rocky Mountains. He lives in Durango, Colo.

Shane M. Niebergall聽(PolSci) has been named partner at law firm Perkins Coie. He is a member of the firm鈥檚 intellectual property practice in the Denver office. He has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in diverse technologies, including in the petroleum, medical devices, robotics and telecommunications industries.

Puget Sound Energy, Washington state鈥檚 oldest local energy company, named聽Jason Teller聽(PolSci) to its senior leadership team as vice president of customer solutions. Jason and his wife,聽Amy Teller聽(Acct鈥�96), a full-time mother, live in Sammamish, Wash., with their three daughters, Lauren, Ava and Genevieve.

Brett Dolnick聽(AeroEngr) was named principal at Ernst & Young. He joined the company in 2011 in its IT transformation practice, where he focuses on ITIL processes, sourcing and IT infrastructure. He lives in California with his wife and two children.

The Denver office of Lewis Roca Rothgerber hired聽David Steinberger聽(MEPOBio) as a partner in the firm鈥檚 environmental and natural resources practice. His practice focuses on all aspects of environmental law, and he represents parties in compliance and permitting matters. He is licensed in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.

Denver resident Daphne Werth O鈥機onnor (Law) joined the law firm Arnold & Porter LLP after working as vice president and associate general counsel for Altria Client Services LLC for seven years. She focuses on managing, litigating and trying complex product liability and mass tort cases. While at Colorado Law she was elected to the honorary scholastic society Order of the Coif.

Former NFL and Buff football star Mike Pritchard (Acct) was inducted into this year鈥檚 CU Athletic Hall of Fame. Named most valuable player on CU鈥檚 1990 national championship football team and male athlete of the year, he had 47 career receptions for 1,241 yards and 10 touchdowns. Pritchard played for the NFL鈥檚 Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons. After playing, he returned home to Las Vegas and provided sports commentary on UNLV鈥檚 radio network.

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education named Laurel Anderson (PhDEPOBio) and Catherine Kleier (EPOBio鈥�92) 2015 U.S. Professors of the Year. Laurel is a professor of biology and microbiology at Ohio Wesleyan University, and Catherine is an associate professor and biology chair at Regis University in Colorado.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper appointed Elizabeth Maulton Brodsky (Soc; Law鈥�97) to a seat on the 麻豆影院 County Court. Previously Elizabeth served as a magistrate judge, presiding over domestic relations cases. She was in private practice until 2011.

Law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP recently appointed Schuyler Kraus (Soc) to the management committee of the firm鈥檚 New York office. Schuyler previously co-chaired Hinshaw鈥檚 consumer financial services practice group and currently serves on the firm鈥檚 executive committee.

Award-winning producer and voice actor David Vincent (Jour ex) is known for hundreds of characters in anime series and video games such as Super Smash Bros. and Street Fighter. David lives in Los Angeles.

Kevin Witt (EPOBio) is director of marketing for the education division of the publisher John Wiley and Sons. Previously he worked as editorial director for Life Sciences. He and his wife live in Austin, Texas, with their 17-year-old son and cat. Kevin writes that he misses the mountains and gets back to 麻豆影院 when he can.

In January, Vance Joseph (Mktg) was named the new head coach of the Denver Broncos. Vance most recently worked as the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. At CU, the Louisiana native played as backup quarterback and running back. Vance played in the NFL for the New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts. He and wife Holly have a daughter, Nataly, and a son, Stone.

In 2016 Jeremy Wallace (Anth) gave a TED Talk titled 鈥淭ransitioning to Happy鈥� in which he discussed his transition from female to male. The talk complements his book Taking the Scenic Route to Manhood. Jeremy, a professional speaker, lives in Las Vegas, Nev.

In July, London-based telecommunications group GSMA appointed Laxmi Akkaraju (MCivEngr) chief strategy officer. Laxmi has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry in numerous countries, including India, Norway and the U.S. She and husband Sindre Mekjan live in Oslo.

Jennifer Alsever (Jour) has spent the past two decades building a career in journalism, writing for the Denver Post and, for the last 13 years, as a freelancer for Fortune Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine, Wired and Fast Company. In 2017, Jennifer plunged into fiction, releasing the first two novels in a young adult trilogy, The Trinity Forest Series. Jennifer writes that she still freelances and lives in the mountains just outside of Vail. She enjoys reading, writing, mountain biking, skiing and yoga.
