In February the foundation, which works to assist, encourage and promote a better quality of life for Coloradans, named Kenzo to its board of trustees.

Former NFL and Buff football star Mike Pritchard (Acct) was inducted into this year鈥檚 CU Athletic Hall of Fame. Named most valuable player on CU鈥檚 1990 national championship football team and male athlete of the year, he had 47 career receptions for 1,241 yards and 10 touchdowns. Pritchard played for the NFL鈥檚 Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons. After playing, he returned home to Las Vegas and provided sports commentary on UNLV鈥檚 radio network.

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education named Laurel Anderson (PhDEPOBio) and Catherine Kleier (EPOBio鈥92) 2015 U.S. Professors of the Year. Laurel is a professor of biology and microbiology at Ohio Wesleyan University, and Catherine is an associate professor and biology chair at Regis University in Colorado.

In January, Vance Joseph (Mktg) was named the new head coach of the Denver Broncos. Vance most recently worked as the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. At CU, the Louisiana native played as backup quarterback and running back. Vance played in the NFL for the New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts. He and wife Holly have a daughter, Nataly, and a son, Stone.

Jennifer Alsever (Jour) has spent the past two decades building a career in journalism, writing for the Denver Post and, for the last 13 years, as a freelancer for Fortune Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine, Wired and Fast Company. In 2017, Jennifer plunged into fiction, releasing the first two novels in a young adult trilogy, The Trinity Forest Series. Jennifer writes that she still freelances and lives in the mountains just outside of Vail. She enjoys reading, writing, mountain biking, skiing and yoga.
