In 1998,聽he received a J.D. from聽West Virginia University聽College of Law. He has聽since specialized in聽criminal defense and has聽served several years as聽an adjunct in the WVU聽College of Law. Nearing聽retirement, he is touring聽the National Parks and聽fulfilling other bucket-list items. He lives in聽Morgantown, W.V. 聽

Some might say that聽Steve Frenzl聽(Mktg) worked聽an 鈥渙dd鈥 job while attending CU. In the late 1960s, he worked as an apprentice at 麻豆影院鈥檚 Howe Mortuary. A retired marketing manager, Steve recently published a two-volume fictionalized memoir of his days (and nights) working at the mortuary,聽Coffee & Donuts with the Dearly Departed. In 2016,聽Steve Volstad (Jour) retired from聽his career in communications, most recently聽as communications and聽marketing director for聽UNC-TV, North Carolina鈥檚 statewide public聽broadcasting channel.聽After 30 days away聽from work, Steve knew聽he needed something聽more: He got a job with聽the College of Veterinary Medicine at North聽Carolina State University, writing stories about聽animals in poor health聽and their caretakers.

In 2019, William Cathcart-Rake (PolSci) retired from his position as dean of the Salina campus of the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Salina鈥檚 regional medical campus is the smallest four-year medical school in the country. Prior to his nine-year tenure there, William was a practicing medical oncologist in Salina. In retirement he鈥檚 enjoyed swimming, (he was on the Buffs swim team in the late 1960s), hiking the Grand Canyon and playing classical guitar. He and his wife Ruth also enjoy spending time at their cabin in South Park, Colorado, and visiting their three children and five grandchildren.

Harvard chemistry professor James G. Anderson (PhDAtmos) is the recipient of the 2021 DreyfusPrize in the ChemicalSciences. He received the award for his decades of crucial contributions to the field of environmental chemistry. Recently, Anderson made a revolutionary link between the decrease of stratospheric ozone and global climate change. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1992 and is a fellow of the American Philosophical Society, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Geophysical Union.

As a CU 麻豆影院 student, Roe Green (CommThtr) fell in love with theater. Initially an art major, she switched her freshman year after volunteering to take notes for a faculty director during a theater class. She became enamored with the theater鈥檚 backstage and management aspects. This year, she donated $5 million to CU 麻豆影院鈥檚 theater program. It is the Department of Theatre & Dance鈥檚 largest gift in history, and it will fund an upgrade for the University Theatre 鈥 which will be renamed the Roe Green Theatre in fall 2023 鈥 as well as establish endowed funds for student scholarships and fund events to further students鈥 careers. 鈥淭heater and the performing arts make us human,鈥 she told CU 麻豆影院 Today in September. 鈥淭his is how we pass on what we know.鈥

Kerry Feldman (MAnth鈥70; PhD鈥73) of Anchorage, Alaska, has been a professor emeritus of anthropology at the University of Alaska Anchorage since 2010. His book Alice鈥檚 Trading Post: A Novel of the West was published in January 2022. The novel took him 30 years to research and write. His Buff daughter, Brie Anderson-Feldman (Anth鈥01), is a successful therapist, mother and wife.

Judy Hickey聽Fahrenkrog聽(Edu鈥70) of Denver and聽a group of her Kappa聽Kappa Gamma sorority聽sisters from all across聽the U.S. and abroad have聽been staying in touch聽over the years. During聽the pandemic, Judy and聽her KKG sisters started聽hosting a regular Zoom聽happy hour. They had聽an in-person reunion in聽October 2021 in 麻豆影院聽and plan to meet up again聽this year.

Harry Grass (Mktg鈥70) wrote that he enjoyed many good times at The Sink personally and with his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, during his time at CU. After graduating, Harry earned an MBA from the University of Washington and went on to work for various companies, including as a partner in a small business in Denver and as vice president for Sullivan Hayes Real Estate and for Gordon Sign. He also invested in residential properties and built a successful real estate portfolio. Harry eventually started his own property management company, River & Sea Property Management, in Astoria, Oregon, where he resides.
