Lesley lives in Cairo but returns to 麻豆影院 every year in May for the annual Alumni Association鈥檚 Golden Anniversary Reunion Luncheon with her mother聽Pollyann Castle Baird聽(DistSt鈥45). Lesley wrote a personal essay that appeared in the April edition of the聽Forever Buffs Insider听别-苍别飞蝉濒别迟迟别谤.

贵颈濒尘尘补办别谤听Paul Hirschberger聽(Mktg鈥74) is working on a documentary about the Kraft-IFL, Israel鈥檚 American-style tackle football league that consists of 500 players on 10 teams in six different cities. His focus is the cooperation among Muslims, Jews and Christians when they are playing, and how sports can create possibilities for personal, social and political transformation. The Natick, Mass., resident expects the film to be completed in December.聽

The American Association for Clinical Chemistry recognized聽Edward Ashwood聽(ChemEngr鈥75, MD鈥79) for his contributions to education. He is a professor of pathology at the University of Utah and is president and CEO of ARUP Laboratories. He has mentored more than 100 University of Utah pathology residents and fellows who have twice honored him with the outstanding teaching award. His research in fetal lung maturity tests and standardization in clinical chemistry has resulted in more than 150 publications. Edward lives in Park City, Utah.

A celebration of 50 years of marriage took place for聽Mary Agnes 鈥淎ggie鈥 Ruh Madden聽(MEdu鈥75) and her husband in 麻豆影院 surrounded by their four children and eight grandchildren. The couple also took an anniversary trip to New Zealand. Mary is an avid traveler, watercolor painter and senior auditor of classes at CU.

Former Broncos player and high school football coach聽Dave Logan聽(A&S鈥76) has achieved 201-43 coaching record in 19 years of coaching high school football, including six state championships in Colorado. He coaches at Cherry Creek High School in Denver, is a host on a daily radio talk show on KOA-850 AM and does Broncos broadcasts. He lives in Greenwood Village, Colo.

A five-year federal grant from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine will help聽Dale Hales聽(MCDBio鈥77, PhDBioChem鈥83) test the effectiveness of a flaxseed enriched diet on suppressing ovarian cancer. He is a professor of physiology and gynecology/obstetrics at Southern Illinois University where he also chairs the physiology department and serves as a member of the Simmons Cancer Institute.

President Obama appointed聽Judith Kimble聽(PhDMCDBio鈥78) as a member of the President鈥檚 Committee on the National Medal of Science. She is a biochemistry professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She discovered the first stem cell niche that controls stem cell maintenance. She has served on several boards and committees and has been president of the Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society. Judith lives in Madison, Wis.

Following a national search, the CU Foundation named聽Rick Lawrence聽(Fin鈥80) president and CEO after聽Wayne Hutchens聽(Mktg鈥67) retired in March. The foundation is CU鈥檚 main fundraising arm, and Rick served as its chief operating officer and vice president for six years. Prior to working at the foundation, he was an executive with Vectra Bank and Bank One Corp. He lives in Lafayette.

Because of his outstanding contributions to the community and demonstrated excellence in the classroom, CU awarded聽Thomas Huber聽(PhDGeog鈥80) a 2012 Thomas Jefferson Award. He is a professor of geography and environmental studies at CU鈥檚 Colorado Springs campus. He has worked on such projects as habitat mapping of the Prebles meadow jumping mouse in Colorado鈥檚 El Paso County, state vegetation mapping for the Colorado Division of Wildlife and mapping and analyzing elk habitats in the Pikes Peak region.

As CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 vice chancellor for diversity, equity and community involvement,听Robert 鈥淏ob鈥 Boswell聽(PhDMCDBio鈥81) oversees the campus鈥 diversity recruitment and retention of students and faculty, campus climate issues and develops practices to promote diversity within the university. A 麻豆影院 resident, Bob has been a molecular, cellular and developmental biology professor at CU since 1991 and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator.

With a career in education publishing spanning 20 years,听John Ade聽(Thtr鈥85) has joined publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as vice president of marketing management for literacy and language. Throughout his career he has focused on elementary and secondary reading, language arts, English language learning and foreign languages. He writes he still manages to put his CU degree to good use by performing in local community theaters. He lives in New York City with his partner of 21 years.
