It was just after 7 pm July 2 when they broke the silence with "Bertha."

By the time Dead & Co. wrapped up a two-night Folsom Field stand with 鈥淯.S. Blues鈥� the next night 鈥� the first concerts at CU鈥檚 football stadium since 2001 鈥� they鈥檇 made the kind of impression entertainers aim for.

"The Dead & Company show last Saturday. Still on my mind!"听Molly Conner (@McButtaaa) tweeted two days later.

Altogether, more than 50,000 people attended the band鈥檚 two July 4 weekend shows at Folsom Field. (See photos at right.)

Dead & Co. is made up of three members of the Grateful Dead 鈥� Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzman 鈥� plus John Mayer, with bassist Oteil Burbridge and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

In all, the band played 34 songs over the two nights, mainly Grateful Dead tunes, including "Uncle John鈥檚 Band,"听"Fire on the Mountain,"听"Samson & Delilah"听"Scarlet Begonias"听and "Not Fade Away."

The band tweeted a for both nights.

Kreutzman was the only member of the band wearing a tie-dye t-shirt on Saturday 鈥� but backstage the other five all听tried on Buffs football jerseys.
