Musician's Paradise for Sale聽
During the 1970s and early 1980s, some 150 artists 鈥 including the Beach Boys,聽members of U2 and John Lennon 鈥 reveled in the serenity of Caribou Ranch, a destination聽recording studio north of Nederland, Colo.
At the ranch, Billy Joel penned New York State of Mind and Elton John recorded聽three albums, including Caribou. In 1985 a fire destroyed the studio. In August 2013聽owner James Guercio listed the 1,600-acre ranch for $45 million.
鈥淢usic is definitely going to come out of this valley again,鈥 Guercio鈥檚 son Will聽Guercio told the Daily Camera.
