A note from Rick Reilly
听 When I wrote the column on the back of SI all those years, I'd pull a hamstring every week trying to think of a subject that:
Nobody else had found
Was different than last week's column
Checked out
Either made people laugh, cry or throw the magazine across the room
Didn't get me fired
For more than two decades, award-winning sports reporter Rick Reilly鈥檚 (Jour鈥81) writing was a staple in the pages of Sports Illustrated. His weekly column, 鈥淟ife of Reilly,鈥 appeared on the inside back page of the magazine from 1997 to 2007.听
Throughout his long career鈥攄uring which he was inducted into the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame鈥攈e鈥檚 stayed connected with our college, helping inspire and support younger generations of students.
