Sha will deliver the keynote, “Prototyping Social Forms: Research-Creation Ateliers,” as part of a two-day Ecologies of Practices symposium that will take place Sept. 18-19 on CU �鶹ӰԺ’s campus. The keynote speech is free and open to the public, with registration required for the full symposium.

In addition to Sha’s public lecture, the event––organized by the Department of Critical Media Practices in the College of Media, Communications and Information––will include a workshop, roundtable discussion and closing reception. The roundtable discussion will be led by Sha and hosted by Critical Media Practices Department Chair Teri Rueb, with introductory comments by CMCI Founding Dean Lori Bergen.

Funding for the symposium is provided by CMCI and a CU Institute for the Humanities and the Arts Roser grant. The event is supported by the Nature, Environment, Science and Technology Studio for the Arts (NEST); Center for Media, Art and Performance (CMAP); Intermedia Art, Writing and Performance program (IAWP); CMCI Studio; the Environmental Engineering Program (EVEN) and the ATLAS Institute.
