M. Hadassah Ward Hill is a Doctoral student in the Department of Communication at the University of Colorado, 麻豆影院. Her current research focuses on interpersonal and intrapersonal communication regarding identity in those that have experienced sexual violence. In the past, she has investigated the perception of family for transgender individuals pre and post coming out.
Hadassah currently teaches COMM 2400: Discourse, Cultures, and Identities at CU. At past institutions she has taught Introduction to Interpersonal Communication, Business Communication, and Introduction to Effective Public Speaking. She prefers to interact with her students through open dialogue that brings real life experiences, examples, and applications into the classroom through a feminist pedagody lens while developing students as both people and professionals.
In addition to her research and teaching endeavors, Hadassah has experience in LGBTQPIA+ community affairs, student affairs, and student housing. Due to these experiences, Hadassah is passionate about teaching and learning in ways that impact day-to-day perceptions of the world, people, and experiences.
Hadassah earned her MA in Communication at the University of Cincinnati (2019) and her BA in Communication Studies at Northern Kentucky University (2017). She intends to graduate with her Ph.D. in Communication in the Spring of 2025.
