Andrew Young’s research and teaching includes a wide range of topics including Latin American cinema, television history, and film style/structure, in addition to his background in documentary production, production ethics and new media theory and practice.
He has published articles dealing with social network game design, counter culture and representation, dream space, commercial talk radio and hate speech social networks. His research currently focuses on Rwandan society and cultural production as they relate to continued underlying ethnic and political tensions, by interrogating the geographical and rhetorical systems governing Rwanda’s media industries.
