In 2019, Julie Gillum Lue (Jour), a former park ranger living in Montana, published her third children鈥檚 book, What I Saw in Rocky Mountain: A Kid鈥檚 Guide to the National Park.听Her earlier book, What I Saw in Grand Teton, was a 2018 finalist in the High Plains Book Awards. Her writing has appeared in publications including High Country News and Montana Outdoors.

Rick Mullen (Jour) has lived in Malibu, California, since 1990 and was elected to the Malibu City Council in 2016. During the 2018 wildfires, he worked with media outlets and elected officials鈥攊ncluding President Donald Trump鈥攁s the city鈥檚 mayor. Rick is a retired Marine Corps colonel with 30 years of active and reserve service and was a captain in the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He and his wife, Jenny Ball, have two children, Marshall and Tatiana.

Through the 2018 MADE program, she was selected by IBM to participate in its summer advertising internship, after which she was hired as a campaign production manager for the Watson and Developer campaigns in IBM鈥檚 Worldwide Advertising department. Freelance journalist Gloria Dickie (MJour) recently received a National Geographic Early Career Explorer Grant to fund her reporting on human-bear conflict in northern and western India. She previously spent two years reporting on trash management and black bears in the American West for her master鈥檚 project in CMCI. Gloria has reported on bears from around the globe, including polar bears in Svalbard, Norway, grizzly bears in Yellowstone National Park and panda bears in the Min Mountains of China.听
