Laurie Gries, an assistant professor with a joint appointment in communication and the Program for Writing and Rhetoric, has won a 2016 CCCC Advancement of Knowledge Award for her book, . This award honors an empirical research publication in the previous two years that most advances writing studies.
In Still Life with Rhetoric, Gries explores how images often spread and change across different media, genres and locations. As part of this study, she introduces a digital research method for tracing an image鈥檚 circulation,听transformation听and collective activities.
