Meet the PEEPs
Hey! My name is Sebastian Cedeno Gonzalez and I am a sophomore majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology and minoring in multicultural leadership studies. I’m from Aurora, Colorado. ÌýI enjoy dancing, watching moviesÌýand crocheting. Becoming a PEEP meant applying skills I have learned through my classes and impacting my community. I hope that my impact will lead to a better environment for students and faculty here.
Hi! I am a sophomore studying political science and Spanish! I’m from Lafayette, Colorado. I love reading, politics, listening to music and finding new coffee shops. I am very passionate about making a more inclusive and accepting world. I joined PEEPs to make CU a more inclusive and safe community through education, and to find community for myself!
Hi! I'm a junior majoring in business administration, emphasizingÌýinformation management with a minor in computer science. I'm from Rancho Palos Verdes, California. I like to cross-stitch, hikeÌýand go to concerts. I joined PEEPs because I wanted to grow as an individual and engage in critical conversations with others.Ìý
I am passionate about climate justice, social justiceÌýand raising awareness ofÌýinequality from a systemic perspective. My majors are anthropology and evolutionary biology, and I feel these areas of studies encompass my passions well. I am also a dog mother, active outdoors enthusiastÌýand an illustrator in my free time. I joined PEEPS because I believe in the workshops we facilitate, and I feel strongly that our efforts at the Center for Inclusion and Social Change do make a positive difference in the lives of those we impact.
Hello! My name is Karla and I am a junior double majoring in chemistry and political science. I would love to one day bridge the gap between science and policy as well as help underserved communities affected by environmental issues and policy making. When I am not in class or studying, I am either hiking through beautiful ColoradoÌýtrails, thrift shopping, spending time with my family, reading, writingÌýor just sitting back and watching some good shows. I joined PEEPs because as a first-generation Mexican student, I have firsthand experienced the lack of inclusive environments. Thus, with PEEPs I hope to create and build inclusive environments where individuals are able to broaden their perspectives and learn something new. I hope to take PEEPs workshops’ and aid in creating inclusive environments on campus!
Hi! My name is Erica. I am a senior (yay!) majoring in information management and business analytics with a minor in information science. I am a first-gen Filipino student from Aurora, Colorado. I enjoy being in nature and collecting plushies. As a PEEP, I strive to bring awareness and reflection on campus, starting dialogue. I also stand as a resource for my peers from campus resources to a listening friend.
