Philip received a B.S. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and majored in Biochemistry. He was听rostered in the Department of Biochemistry. Philip听completed听his first lab rotation in听Dr. Edward Chuong's lab听in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. He听completed听his second lab rotation in Dr. Karolin Luger's lab in the Department of Biochemistry. Philip completed his third lab rotation in Dr. Daniel Larremore's lab in the Department of Computer Science. For his fourth lab听rotation, he听worked听with two other IQ Biology students and Dr. Colin Campbell was听their advisor. Philip left the program in 2019.
