FreemanDr. Freeman A. Hrabowski, President of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, will be giving a talk about creating an environment that supports the success of minority students as part of the听. Hrabowski has focused his career on science and math education, with emphasis on minority participation and performance.

Hrabowski was recently named by President Obama to chair the new President鈥檚 Advisory Commission on Education Excellence for African Americans. The University of Maryland, Baltimore County has been recognized as a model for academic innovation and inclusive excellence under his leadership.

His talk 鈥淐hanging the Culture of Science to Support Minority Success鈥 will take place May 30 at Noon, in the Butcher Auditorium at the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building on CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 East Campus. A reception for Dr. Hrabowski will follow the seminar. This talk is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and by the students of the听.
