The Colorado-Wyoming Climate Resilience Engine (CO-Wy Engine) received a groundbreaking and prestigious award of up to $160 million over the next ten years to transform Colorado and the region into a national leader in developing climate resilient and sustainable technologies.
The Colorado and Wyoming regions are well positioned to develop solutions for environmental monitoring, measurement, verification and prediction. The CO-WY Engine will have a profound impact on workforce development and community engagement and will ensure that the economic benefits reach across diverse communities.
CU Â鶹ӰԺ is among the research universities that are a part of the CO-WY Engine. Expertise from the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering & Resilience and Earth Lab will drive the creation of new climate innovations including technologies that are expected to have direct applications in wildfire management, water resource management, agtech, mitigating extreme weather, and earth sensing.
