Colorado Water Management
The Mortenson Center's cutting-edge research combined with stakeholder engagement is helping legislators to better understand local water systems' current and future climate vulnerabilities. We have created emerging technologies including developing the first-ever demonstration of carbon credits earned from green infrastructure replacing gray infrastructure for water treatment.
To aid in Colorado Water Management the Mortenson Center is:
- Monitoring gaps in Colorado water management.
- Examining the challenges for Colorado water managers across basins & sectors.
- Researching perceptions of technology use and barriers to adoption across Colorado.
- Exploring the feasibility of green infrastructure to address water quality concerns in Colorado’s rivers and reservoirs.Ìý
