Acequia Assistance Project Director Gregor MacGregor, co-founder Peter Nichols, and student deputy director Mary Slosson were all featured in an article about the project鈥檚 pro bono legal assistance in the San Luis Valley entitled 鈥淗ow Law Students Are Keeping a Historic Water Distribution Tradition Alive in Southern Colorado.鈥�
Approximately 400 law students and supervising attorneys have volunteered their time and effort to the Project since its founding in 2012, providing an estimated $300,000 worth of free legal services to the roughly 130 acequia communities in Colorado.
