The Benson Center notes with sadness the passing of Professor David Shneer on Nov. 4, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. Professor Shneer was the Louis P. Singer Endowed Chair in Jewish History, Professor of听History听and Jewish Studies,听and former Chair of the Department of听Religious Studies听at the University of Colorado听麻豆影院.
Until recently, Professor Shneer served on the Benson Center鈥檚 Executive Committee, which advises the director in the advancement of the Center鈥檚 mission.听Benson Center founding director Professor Robert Pasnau remembered Professor Shneer as 鈥渆xtremely important to the Center鈥檚 growth, serving on the Executive Committee for many years, and always offering his unvarnished and energetic opinion about how the Center could be doing better.鈥�
