罢丑别听Center for Western Civilization, Thought & Policy听is hosting an event on Sept. 25.听 will be speaking as an invited guest on behalf of the Visiting Scholars in Conservative Thought & Policy program addressing the CU 麻豆影院 community with his lecture, Conservatism in the Age of Trump.
Buckley鈥檚 talk will discuss why many of America鈥檚 most prominent conservatives opposed Trump鈥檚 nomination and candidacy for president.听Buckley鈥檚 lecture will also cover material from his new book, 鈥淩epublican Workers Party,鈥� and discuss how a new kind of conservatism is taking shape in America.听 听听
Buckley is a former campaign and transition advisor to President Trump.听He has authored nine books and is a columnist for the New York Post. He is a consistent contributor to the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the American Conservative, and many other publications.听Buckley is also a frequent guest on network shows like Morning Joe, CNN, Rush Limbaugh, and NPR.
Buckley is a Foundation Professor at the Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University and teaches subjects in bankruptcy, corporations, and secured lending.听He has been a visiting fellow at the University of Chicago Law School and has taught at universities in Montreal and Paris.
Students, faculty, and members of the public听are encouraged to attend the lecture.听The scheduled presentation will take place in the Fleming Building, Room 154, beginning at 5:30 pm.听The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and a small reception that will wrap around 7:30 pm.听.
