- GROWING UP BOULDER
Omar De La Mora is a senior in the Program in Environmental Design (ENVD), with an emphasis in architecture. He is interested in bioclimatic building design and the relationship between the built environment and the constantly changing environmental climate. Omar also works part-time as a Big Mountain ski coach for Team Summit Colorado, where he developed a passion for engaging with youth. He currently is working with Growing Up Â鶹ӰԺ (GUB) to develop a child-friendly city map that encourages children to explore their cities through child-friendly designs. The project involves working with several preschool and elementary students to develop plans, designs and ideas for walkable neighborhoods throughout Â鶹ӰԺ. As a GUB intern, he hopes to learn how to further involve local youth in building designs.
