Metrolab Workshop: Learning from the Ponderosa Mobile Home Community

During the spring of 2018, more than 40 CU Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº students and faculty with varied expertise sought solutions for the preservation of Ponderosa Mobile Home Park - a diverse community of 68 homeowners living on land with a long history of infrastructure challenges - , as it transitions to a more resilient model of affordable housing.

Please join us April 27 for a presentation of this work and discussion of how the experience of the Ponderosa community can inform organization and design of affordable housing in Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº.ÌýThe discussion will be based onÌýworkÌýby students from the Program in Environmental Design, the University of Colorado Law School, Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº Affordable Housing Research Initiative (BAHRI), Growing Up Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº (GUB) and the neighborhood.

The Metrolab Workshop is a CU-City of Âé¶¹Ó°Ôº collaboration applying University research to key urban design, technology and management challenges. Participating faculty/staff include Deborah Cantrell, Aria Dellepiane, Neal Evers, Jennifer Fluri, Bruce Goldstein, Catherine Hill, Brian Muller and Seth Wilberding.
