CEAE Peer Mentoring Program
The CEAE Peer Mentoring Program pairs third- and fourth-year students with first- and second-year students to foster relationships and enhance the experience of being an architectural or civil engineering student. It’s a great opportunity to share and learn practical advice on classes, careers, life outside of school, internships and more!

CEAE mentees gain extra support and a sense of community within the department!. First- and second-year students, learn more and by Aug. 29.

CEAE mentors develop leadership skills and help others succeed, just like you have! Third- and fourth-year students, learn more and by Aug. 29.

Education Abroad Information Session
Are you an architectural or civil engineering student interested in studying abroad? Join us to explore your options! This session will cover program choices, timing considerations, finances and scholarships, and course planning strategies.

Spring study abroad application deadlines are between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30, so be sure to talk to your advisor early if you’re interested!

CVEN second-year students: Did you miss the chance to apply for the fall study abroad program at Universitat Politècnica de València in Spain?Good news! For spring, ISA-UPV offers approved courses that transfer as AREN 2110, CVEN 3161, CVEN 3111, and APPM 2360 in English, along with Spanish classes at all levels for HSS credit. The Spring 2025 study abroad application is due by Sept. 15. Read  attend the study abroad information session (described above) on Sept. 4 and be sure to talk to your advisor early about studying abroad!

AREN Global Intensive - Energy Systems for the Built Environment
Work hard and have fun!
This global intensive course, a collaboration between CU Â鶹ӰԺ, Politecnico di Milano, and the University of Brescia, will focus on district-scale energy concepts and modeling. The 12-day program in May 2025 takes place in Lecco, Italy, near Lake Como. Students will learn urban-scale building energy analysis, using platforms like URBANoptâ„¢ and REoptâ„¢ to explore the benefits of interactive building and energy resource design. The course fosters international collaboration, pairing students from the U.S. and Italy to enhance learning across different educational systems and cultural backgrounds.

Successful applicants will join a multidisciplinary research team of engineers utilizing the broad testing capabilities of the Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST), which includes the Geotechnical Centrifuge, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Testing Laboratories. Under common management, CIEST utilizes unique testing capabilities and experienced researchers to collaborate with academic, government and industry users from a wide range of engineering and earth science fields.
