Students Win Environmental Engineering Design Competition
A team of CU students won the regional Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association/American Water Works Association (RMWEA/RMSAWWA) Student Design Competition in May 2012. The team included environmental engineering undergraduate students Kristin Johansen, Bailey Leppek, Alexandra Murray, and Maria Cabeza-Tedesco and civil engineering graduate student Matthew Huntze. The team completed a design for the Broodmoor Park Properties Wastewater Treatment Plant as part of CVEN 4434/5434 Environmental Engineering Design, taught by CEAE professor Angela Bielefeldt.
The team will advance to the national finals in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 29-October 3, 2012.
