Profile

Yan Zhang is the founder and the Director of the Chinese program at the University of Wyoming and the ACTFL OPI tester of Chinese. In addition to teaching Chinese language courses at various levels, she also teaches Business Chinese class and Exploring Chinese culture through media. She has been very active in giving many lectures and seminars at regional national and international conferences and symposia as well as setting up UW summer Chinese abroad program in China. Yan Zhang is a recipient of multiple awards at UW, such as the Extraordinary Merit Award for Teaching, the Top Professor award, the Thumbs-up Award, the Promoting Intellectual Engagement Award.
