Profile

My current research project studies the economic and financial history of the Society of Foreign Missions of Paris (French: Soci茅t茅 des Missions 茅trang猫res de Paris, short M.E.P.) in south China from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. It examines how those missionaries purchased and utilized local properties, demonstrating how property acquisitions provided a testing ground for Sino-Western relations.
