Fredy Gonz谩lez, professor of history at CU 麻豆影院, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for the 2016-17 year.聽Gonz谩lez's work focuses on Chinese immigrants in secret societies from the mid-19th century through the 1930s. In the 1920s, many leaders of different secret societies assassinated each other.聽
鈥淚 am hoping I can piece together a larger cause, to demystify that popular racism as a result of these conflicts,鈥澛燝onz谩lez told CU 麻豆影院 Today.聽Gonz谩lez arrived in Taipei in July.聽
