Whether you’re deciding on a major or exploring opportunities to get involved on campus, we can help you narrow your interests and connect them to your desired career. It’s never too early to meet with Career Services. We firmly believe that if you start here, you can roam anywhere!
Step Three
Expand your professional experiences
Ìý Sophomore or junior year
It is most common to obtain an internship related to your career interest during yourÌýjunior and senior years of college – though you can gain experience at any point in your college career! Refine your interests and internship search plan so you’re prepared for peak recruiting season.
Step Two
Start seeking professional experience
Ìý ÌýFirst or sophomore year
This year is all about getting some work experience. An on-campus job and part-time employment are great ways to begin developing some professional skills like networking, interviewing and creating application materials. Let us help you develop these skills!
Step Four
Finish strong
Ìý Final year
Finding employment can take anywhere from six to nine months, which means you should begin the application and job search process as early as the September before you graduate. Career Services hostsÌý career fairs and networking events that coincide with peak hiring times.
