Dr. Claire Simon works with social enterprises to strengthen their business model with a focus on how to deliver and measure social impact. Claire has over 10 years of experience working with in quantitative and qualitative evaluation research that includes formulating program strategy, designing research and evaluation platforms, training and managing survey and research teams, analyzing data, assessing outcomes, extracting lessons learned, and reporting to stakeholders. ÌýOther areas of subject matter expertise include social and child protection, food security, poverty measurement, and disaster risk management. Ìý
Prior to her work with social enterprises and evaluation, Claire spent eight years working in software development, managing teams to build client relationship management (CRM) systems for large financial institutions and online retail organizations. ÌýShe specialized in gathering user requirements and transforming these requirements into technological solutions to streamline and improve business processes. ÌýClaire received her PhD in Geography from the University of Colorado. ÌýShe holds a master’s degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and a bachelor’s degree in French and International Studies from Washington University.
