The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation recently announced the selection of their 2012 research fellowships. Biofrontiers faculty member and MCDB professor, Robin Dowell was one of 126 outstanding researchers from 51 colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada who received the award.
Given annually since 1955, the fellowships are given to early-career scientists and scholars whose achievements and potential identify them as the next generation of scientific leaders.
To qualify for the fellowship, Dowell had to be nominated by her peers and selected by an independent panel of senior scholars. She will receive $50,000 to further her research.
