The Python Project, led by CIMB's Chief Scientific Officer Leslie Leinwand, is exploring uncharted territory in heart disease. And snakes are leading the charge.

Pythons can eat large meals, often 50 to 75 percent of their total body weight. When they do, their hearts and other organs enlarge to process their food.Ìý This ability to manage their heart's capacity is at the core of new heart research at CU-Â鶹ӰԺ.
