This free conference highlights work by students and postdoctoral scientists conducting research in Earth System & Planetary Science andÌýSpace Physics & Engineering. Participants and visitors from CU departments and research institutes, as well as other Front Range schools and organizations, are encouraged to participate.Ìý You can find a flyer here.

We would like to give a big thank you to everyone who participated in the 17thÌýAnnual ESSS Poster Conference Friday, December 8, 2023. It was a great opportunity to meet colleagues, learn about ongoing research, and to check out some fantastic posters.

Student Award for Best Poster Presentation

This year we will resume the student poster competition, with monetary awards ($100) for the best overall graduate and undergraduate posters. Best poster certificates will also be provided for the best posters within a variety ofÌýtopical areas. A rubric governing the poster competition can be found here.

SEEC parking map
Location

The CU Â鶹ӰԺ SEEC (MacAllister) building is located on the northwest Corner of Colorado Avenue and Foothills Parkway. You can find information on "Getting Here" at . From main campus, the Stampede Bus will drop off on the west (mountain) side of the building. There is guest parking in Lot 550 (pink shading on the map to the left) on the southwest side of the building. Visitors and presenters from Â鶹ӰԺ research labs and from out of town, please contact Xinyue Wang (xinyuew@colorado.edu) or Sara Sanchez (sara.sanchez@colorado.edu) for a parking pass.

Poster Boards and Setup

The maximum poster size allowed is 48" x 48". Tacks will be provided at the conference to hang up your poster. We encourage all presenters in the first poster session to hang up their posters before the start of the keynote talk at 10:30 AM.

Refreshments

A variety of boxed lunches will be provided during the poster sessions. These boxed lunches must be consumed outside of the poster hall in either the SEEC cafeteria or outside (weather permitting). Please be sure to put your mask back on once you are finished eating and/or before reentering SEEC.
