Joel Swanson, ATLAS assistant professor and TYPO Lab director, created the light-based installation, 鈥淵/OURS,鈥� which hangs in a Denver alley. The white "Y" blinks on and off every two seconds, questioning notions of what we own individually and collectively.听The 4-inch by 4-foot by 20-foot听structure, made of LED rope, steel, electronics and听cabling, was commissioned by the Downtown Denver Partnership for Happy Cities Denver, a six-week, citywide art intervention that took place in Denver from May 18 through June 30, 2018. The project鈥檚 purpose was to break down personal, emotional and social barriers, while nurturing individual and collective well-being through art and related programming.
