- Alex Fiel is a near-constant presence in the ATLAS Institute鈥檚 hacker and maker spaces. Having created projects that have attracted the attention of the national hacking/making community, Alex graduates with a TAM major and is a recipient of ATLAS Institute's Outstanding Undergraduate Award.
- TAM students Alex Fiel and Anna Lynton took a tape measure and turned it into a clock, programming it to move over the course of the day to show the time in hours (inches). The largest challenge became minifying the electronics and keeping the overall footprint of the device to roughly the size of the real object.
- A one-of-a kind class,聽鈥淪tudio: Design an Immersive Science Exhibit,鈥 taught by聽Mark Gross, Annie Bruns and Wayne Seltzer from ATLAS, and instructors from Fiske Planetarium and聽the National Solar Observatory, culminated in permanent exhibits within CU 麻豆影院's Fiske Planetarium.
