Layne Hubbard taught preschool for four years, and she noticed that the children she taught were all going through some form of transition or trauma, whether it be losing a family member or learning English. Because of her experiences she began thinking about ways in which our cultural habits could adopt supportive patterns that听enable children to retain their strength of self through difficult times听and ensure that their passion and confidence come through on the听other side. These ideas inspired Layne to attend CU 麻豆影院 for her undergraduate education, where she did research in the neuroscience, cognitive science听and computer science departments, creating computational models of the mind. She graduated with a BS in computer science and now is continuing her听graduate studies in computer science at CU 麻豆影院.
