Etta Sandry was听the 2022 Experimental Weaver-in-Residence at ATLAS Institute's听Unstable Design Lab.听An artist, educator听and facilitator from the midwestern United States who is now听based in Tiohti脿:ke/Montreal, her material-focused research is rooted in fibre and weaving, spanning听media through sculpture, writing and installation. Etta completed her MFA in the fibre & material practices program at Concordia University in the spring of 2021, and her work as an educator has recently included positions teaching fibre structures, and critical thinking and听writing at Concordia. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and Canada.

Etta has more than 10 years of experience working as an organizer and administrator in arts communities. Most recently听this has included roles as a board member at the artist-run center, articule, in Montreal and as a volunteer staff member of听ACRE Residency鈥檚 fibre studio in Wisconsin.
