Alexis has a Bachelor of Science聽degree from Colorado State University聽in mechanical engineering. Her background involves participation in the CSU NASA Space Grant program, where she was involved in the Robotics Challenge (2013)聽and was an intern assigned to the laser team (2014) for the NASA Space Grant summer program. Within the Robotics Challenge team, Alexis designed, created, developed, and built a robotic rover that participated in the Robotics Challenge held in Alamosa, Colorado.
