Ellen Yi-Luen Do,听professor of computer science with the ATLAS Institute, participated in听the 's academic panel entitled, "From Electronic Cocktail Napkin to Creative Technology and Design."听 Do's academia panel with Marshini Chetty, assistant professor of computer science at the University of Chicago, focused on the impact and trajectory of scholars in the field of human computer interaction.
Hosted by University of Chicago's Human Computer Integration Lab from Oct.13-16, the event celebrates the legacy of Ada Lovelace, a mathematician and writer who recognized in the 1800s the full potential of computers, as well as听brings to the foreground the contribution and impact of women in technology. The听event features a series of talks that aim at bringing to the foreground the work of听scientists, artists and developers鈥揵rilliant woman who take programming and hardware further in novel and听unexplored directions鈥揻rom human-computer interactive technologies, new media art, societal impacts of technology, accessibility technologies, creativity support tools, multimedia games听and many other perspectives.听
