ATLAS is seeking entries听for听ATLAS听Expo Spring 2019, a听showcase of innovative and creative student projects, happening April 25, 4:30-6:30 pm.听 The annual event draws hundreds of attendees听from industry, campus and the community and features a kaleidoscope of student projects from web, image, VR, game or animation works to听kinetic, 3D, robotic and interactive pieces.听
Research projects from lab assistants, studio projects from ATLAS graduate programs, independent projects from undergraduates working with one of ATLAS鈥� faculty members, or听outstanding projects from any of ATLAS鈥� core or elective classes are all fair game.听Past entries have included an Android app dedicated to tackling objectivity in journalism;听a wooden musical harp that uses lasers instead of strings; and a听fun improv game packaged in a mobile app that privately delivers character descriptions to different participants.
Expo听is a great听an opportunity听to practice presenting your work in a public event and make industry connections.听It's听an experience you can add to your resume and a chance to be featured in Expo听press coverage!
Those wishing听to participate must submit听an 听by听April 7, and听students听are encouraged to apply even if their projects will not be completed by then.听Students听curious about submitting their work听can either discuss it with their instructor or contact Annie Bruns, the faculty curator.听For a sense of what other students might be submitting, check out some of our听previous Expos.听
Free workshops听led by Bruns, are available to help you gain the expertise and confidence to present your project, your skills and your professional identity (Pick one of two sessions:听听for Thurs 4/11 from 4:00-5:30;听听for 4/17 from 2-3:30 pm.)听
