Welcome Our CAMPP Interns!
The ASSETT Innovation Incubator’s CAMPP team (Collective to Advance Multimodal Participatory Publishing) added three new members to the collective this fall! Please welcome interns (ART/PSYC), (ENGL/CTD), and (THDN), all of whom are undergraduate students pursuing degrees in the college of Arts & Sciences. This team of interns brings specialized skills and experience to the team including Adobe Creative Cloud, coding (HTML/CSS), graphic design, web design, peer mentoring, and volunteerism. Rob, Alexis, and Elise will help to advance the collective’s mission to promote faculty and student curation, cultivation, co-creation, and publication of knowledge while contributing to the multimodal publishing projects of faculty on the CAMPP team. We are so excited to work with them through this academic year!
Gamification: Call for Presenters!
The Student Success team is launching a community of practice (CoP) focused on gamification pedagogy. Starting in the spring 2021 term, the team will convene a series of speakers to discuss their area of research, scholarship, and practice in gamification pedagogy — and they are looking for more candidates to round out this diverse set of speakers. Reach out to Jacie Moriyama with your recommendation of experts in the field to share with the CoP about how they’re implementing gamification pedagogy into their classes!
ASSETT Innovation Incubator at the Annual EDUCAUSE Conference
This fall, Innovation Catalyst Blair Young and Student Success team lead Jacie Moriyama paired up to produce an on-demand session for the , which will take place virtually October 27–29, 2020.
The session, Trust-Building and Risk-Taking in Innovative Initiatives, will reflect on the successes, challenges, and lessons learned in the first 18 months of the three-year Innovation Incubator pilot while highlighting the voices of faculty, staff, and campus leaders involved in the initiative. Testimonials submitted by incubator participants will confirm and recognize their commitment to teaching and learning while adding value to the session.
The nonprofit association is a “community of technology, academic, industry, and campus leaders advancing higher education through the use of IT [information technology].” Blair, Jacie, and the Innovation Incubator participants are thrilled to contribute to this community with their conference session.
