Incoming Student Experiences

Every student entering the College of Arts and Sciences at CU 麻豆影院 has three options, in addition to the traditional living experience, to enhance and customize their onboarding experience:

  • Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program (MASP).
  • Living and Learning Communities (LLCs).
  • Residential Academic Programs (RAPs).

Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program (MASP)

MASP is an inclusive academic community comprised of high-achieving students dedicated to pursuing academic excellence at CU 麻豆影院.

MASP supports motivated traditionally underrepresented and/or first-generation students who want to be part of a diverse, multi-cultural academic enrichment community in the College of Arts and Sciences. MASP is also a cooperative and collaborative program that offers a participation scholarship and dedicated space for activities, advising, studying and seminars.

Residential academic programs (RAPs)

RAPS are elective programs in which students live together in a residence hall, share common academic interests, participate in specially tailored small first-year classes, have unique access to faculty, and engage in co-curricular activities that reinforce the program鈥檚 academic theme.

In the College of Arts and Sciences, there are seven options to choose from that focus on everything from the arts to pre-health.

Living and learning communities (LLCs)

LLCs provide a residence hall environment to students in which participants live together in same hall and engage in activities that reinforce a particular academic or special-interest theme.
