Troy Welin serves as the Associate Director of Annual Fund Operations for the Buff Club, joining the team in October of 2022. He is responsible for aiding with annual fund strategy, donor cultivation, and solicitations.
Troy received his bachelor's degree in sport psychology and business administration from Texas Christian University in 2017 and went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Sports Administration from Ohio University in 2020. He is currently working towards his EdD. in Leadership and Organizational Change at Baylor University.
Troy came to CU from the United States Air Force Academy, where he spent a year and a half as the Assistant Director of Development from the Falcon Athletic Fund. Prior to his time at Air Force, he spent two years at Ohio University, working on his MBA/Masters of Sports Administration. In between his time graduating from TCU and starting graduate school, he spent June 2016-June 2017 as the Development Coordinator for the Wooden Athletic Fund, the fundraising arm of UCLA Athletics.聽
A native of Oak Park, CA, he likes to spend his free time exercising, hiking around Colorado, and spending time with his friends in family. He is so incredibly excited to join the Buff Club and the Colorado Family!
