"Nick Wood is the Senior Director of Development for the Buff Club, joining the team in June of 2022. In this role, Nick focuses on major gifts fundraising and working with donors throughout the state of Colorado and within the Pac-12 footprint. Nick comes to 麻豆影院 after spending two years (2020-2022) at Rice University as the Assistant A.D. for Development. He served as the primary major gifts officer for Rice Athletics and was the development liaison for the men鈥檚 basketball, women鈥檚 basketball, and me

Chris Wright is the Director of Development for the Buff Club, joining the team on July 31, 2023. In this role, Chris focuses on major gift fundraising and working with donors across Colorado and the East Coast.

Chris comes to 麻豆影院 after spending five years at his alma mater, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, as Associate Athletic Director where he oversaw ticket operations and sales, annual fund, corporate sales, merchandise, licensing & branding, Adidas, and served as sport administrator for the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 cross country/track and field programs. Wright also served on the NCAA Track and Field Rules Committee.
Before his time at SIUE, Wright spent two years at Colorado State as the Development Officer (2016-18) with a focus on the Denver metro area, one year at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin as the Development Officer (2015-16), and two years at Iowa State as the Associate for Athletics Development (2013-15) where he oversaw the sales of the Sukup End Zone Club seats. Wright鈥檚 career began in Ticket Sales, working for the Memphis Redbirds (2011), Tulsa Shock (2012), and with the Aspire Group at the University of Memphis (2012-13).

Wright enjoyed a successful running career at SIUE. Chris is a four-time NCAA All-American in the 4x400m relay and two-time national runner-up. Chris is a native of Richton Park, IL, a Chicago suburb. Chris is married to Dr. Brittany Wright, and they have one son, Aston. Chris and his family love attending live sporting events and look forward to exploring the many outdoor activities Colorado has to offer!
