1. Use summer to research college.ÌýStart thinking about schools to add to your interest list. Ask yourself: Which colleges have my major of interest? Should I attend in-state or out of-state? What type of experience do I want?

2. Connect with colleges.ÌýCheck out college websites to to learn all the ways you can connect and learn more about them through virtual or in-person visit programs.

3. Explore your interests.ÌýJoin a club or organization atÌýschool or in your community. You’ll beÌýable to expand your experienceÌýand learn about your interests,Ìýhelping you considerÌýwhat you may want toÌýjoin in college.

4. Upgrade your GPA.ÌýTake a look at your grades soÌýfar in high school. Have you improvedÌýin any areas? Have you excelledÌýin some subjects? These mightÌýshow your strengths,Ìýso consider taking anÌýadvanced course.

5. Connect with your counselor.ÌýEmail, call or visit your college counselor to ask questions about which classes you should take your final years in high school, and how to best prep for the college application process.

6. Challenge yourself academically.ÌýSign up for challenging courses,Ìýsuch as honors, college prep orÌýeven AP/IB courses. You’ll gainÌýfoundational knowledge youÌýcan use in college and mayÌýeven begin buildingÌýcollege credits.
