Russ Moore is the provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. As the chief academic officer, he leads the university鈥檚 academic mission, overseeing all elements of research, teaching, and the student and faculty experience at the university. He oversees the recruitment, development, and promotion of faculty, deans, and other academic leaders, and coordinates academic planning with budget preparation and capital development needs. He works collaboratively with the deans, faculty, staff, and students in the exercise of shared governance for the 麻豆影院 campus.
Moore has served as provost since 2010 and is a professor of integrative physiology and an adjunct professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. His research focuses on adaptations of the heart to physiological and pathological stress, particularly as they relate to the development of heart failure.
Moore was appointed associate vice chancellor for research in 2006 and was appointed to serve as the interim vice chancellor for research in 2009.
He has taught at CU 麻豆影院 since 1993 and served as chair of the Department of Integrative Physiology from 1994 to 2001.
Moore earned a PhD from Washington State University and a BS from the University of California, Davis.
