Office of the Provost - Thursday, Aug. 29 football game, building impacts

Aug. 21, 2024

Dear faculty and students,

I am writing to let you know of building access impacts for your Thursday afternoon classes in buildings adjacent to Buff Plaza (Gold, Porter, Muenzinger and Carlson) on Thursday, Aug. 29, when the CU Buffs football team plays North Dakota State at 6 p.m.

A few key items to note:

  • Classes will not be canceled because of the football game.
  • All academic buildings that are normally open to the public while classes are in session will be locked and require Buff OneCard access on Aug. 29, similar to final exam week protocols. All students, faculty and staff will be able to access the buildings they normally use, as long as they have a Buff OneCard. Those who do not have a Buff OneCard should work with the building manager or building proctor if they need to conduct work, research or projects in an academic building.
  • Access to Folsom Field and the plaza area around the stadium will be restricted beginning at 2 p.m. Only credentialed game day staff will be allowed in these areas after 2 p.m.
    • Those with classes in the Gold, Porter, Muenzinger and Carlson buildings will not be able to pass through the plaza after 2 p.m. and will need to enter and exit those buildings through other entrances.
    • For classes normally held in the stadium that begin or end at 2 p.m. or after, the registrar鈥檚 office has coordinated with departments to secure alternate locations for those classes on Aug. 29. Questions about class relocations can be emailed to academicscheduling@colorado.edu.
  • A few parking lots near the stadium will be closed all day. For all other Main Campus lots, parking will be restricted after noon as detailed in CU 麻豆影院 Today

Full details of the building access and parking impacts are highlighted in CU 麻豆影院 Today. Please review the CU 麻豆影院 Today story and do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at katherine.eggert@colorado.edu with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Katherine
